Chanterelles and black trumpets
Chanterelles and black trumpets – first of the season. Early trumpets this year.
Red currants
Red currants (three pounds – enough for canning)

Harvested three pounds of currants and first chanterelles and black trumpets of the yesterday.

Planted seeds: daikon, romaine, chard, beets, scallions, mizuna.

Started seeds in flat for fall crop: broccoli and broccoli raab; some form of bok choy; something else that I am forgetting…

Propagating cuttings of: Jackmanii clematis, aralia, some blue hydrangea, Annabelle hydrangea and a personal favorite – Bergartten sage (a culinary sage with broader leaves and fluffier growth habit than the standard.) Also propagating purple culinary sage for framing & edging kitchen garden beds to fight off Creeping Charlie who is not so much creeping as encroaching like an invading army.
